Hydroponics is nothing new of course, but it can also be impractical in a situation where available resources (such as liquid fertilizers, etc) are limited.
Just as an idea if anyones sick of killing off the snails that invade their gardens....a good source of protein (I found it tastes vaugely like octopus)
